Do what you can to keep from succumbing to, get this, not so much the stress as the fear of the trauma happening. The fear. A hit dog will holler. Trauma leaves a mark that should be taken seriously. I’m only one year into being a self-aware trauma survivor. Still a lot to learn.

If you know a situation or a person triggers suicide or fear, do your best to stay away from the trigger. There might be alternative resources. Maybe support groups. People to talk to. If you’re in the UK, I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints about the NHS and CAHMS. They’re healthcare systems.

They’re fed up with the quality of care and making their voices heard. Stay as close to at least one person who truly, and honestly, supports you and seek out other autistic people for friendship or available resources.

Autistic adults’ time without resources will eventually come to an end. Those like myself are advocating for change as fast as possible. I do it to give hope to those like you. I’m a realist. I’m holding on for dear life.

I am still here.
That counts for something.
