If the monotropism is not taken seriously, there is proof if what the consequences are. I suspect many diagnosed/undiagnosed autistic people are living evidence that have not been studied or taken seriously. My article, “Time to Connect the Patterns,” is my proof.
But I’m not alone and I can prove that thanks to my case manager back in late April. She told me about a client of hers whose PTSD was linked to indecision just before she graduated college with the same degree I had at her age. I plan to use this in my accommodation case with my healthcare provider.
Her and I are proof of what happens when monotropism is not accommodated. PTSD and, a likely byproduct of that is the worst mental health predicament that anyone can experience: suicide.
