Intended in the kindest manner, might I encourage to consider referring to us with people-first language. It takes time to adapt, but addresses us not as the clinical view of pathology (being defective; needing cured) and more about who we are as human beings.

Instead of ‘person with autism,’ it’s best to say autistic people or an autistic person.

Small stuff. Took me maybe two whole years only because I had to start from scratch.. 😅
