I’ve recently begun to wonder if memory retention is a common skill amongst autistic people, but it’s dampened or impeded because large chunks of our lives are traumatic from late diagnosis and/or masking.

If true, it would be no surprise that some of us have difficulty with memory. We’re constantly on the run from, if before diagnosis or self-awareness, something we cannot identify what, where, or why it is troubling us. But it is disruptive and pulling us down…
