The ‘pain’ is dull in comparison, but the feeling is dreadful. I sometimes describe it as a heavy weight of dread behind my sternum, lower rib cage. Like the life is being sucked right out of me.
It’s the worst I’ve felt despite the pain, so to speak, is not actually that painful physically.
