We’re probably describing something similar. It’s just a language barrier. I once spoke to a Vietnam War veteran who described his as a monkey on his back. Clearly a cliche of his generation more than mine, but likely the same thing.
Surprisingly, I haven’t had that as much as I used to. That’s not necessarily a good thing. Perhaps it’s been replaced by something I haven’t been motivated to put into words given the situation.
